Afghan Deputy Minister for Education hails Zambia’s education system

Visiting Afghan Deputy Minister for General Education Ghulam Hamayun has praised Zambia’s two career pathways education system.

Speaking when he paid a courtesy call on Education Minister Michael Kaingu this morning, Mr. Hamayun says the two pathways which is the academic and vocational training will help students pursue what they want and are capable of.

Mr. Hamayun says the two career pathways can also help reduce unemployment by giving young people skills and knowledge to enter the market.

He adds that his delegation is also impressed with the monitoring mechanism the Zambian education system has place to ensure education standards are adhered to through the standards and curriculum directorate.

Mr. Hamayun further states that Afghanistan has learnt so much from Zambia’s education system.
