Eastern peaceful campaigns, Police alertness – Sibote

The Police command in Eastern province has attributed the peaceful campaigns being conducted ahead of the Malambo and Petauke Central Parliamentary by-elections to Police alertness.

Eastern Province Commissioner Eugene Sibote has told Qfm News that the cooperation of all participating political parties with the Police has also helped in creating a peaceful campaign atmosphere.

Mr. Sibote says this is because both the Police and political parties have been having regular meetings and exchanging ideas with the view of sustaining peace and orderliness in the two constituencies.

He says this in addition to all political parties participating being given the opportunity to conduct campaigns without any hindrances.
