Lwandamina is new Chipolopolo coach

ZESCO United trainer George Lwandamina is the new interim Chipolopolo Coach taking over from Honor Janza who reverts to his position of Technical Director at Football House.

FAZ Communications Manager Nkweto Tembwe in a statement made available to QFM Sports News says Lwandamina’s appointment is with immediate effect and his first assignment is the Orange Africa Cup of Nations qualiLwandaminafier match between Zambia and Guinea Bissau, to be played at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Saturday 13th June, 2015.

Lwandamina has since been introduced to the team.

Tembwe says the rest of the Chipolopolo technical team remains unchanged until such a time when there is a review of the present staff.

He says Zambia Olympic Team coach Fighton Simukonda will work with Lwandamina and Chintu Kampamba during the time the U23 team is off international duty.

Tembwe says FAZ wishes to thank Janza for the work undertaken during his time as coach of the Chipolopolo.

He says Janza remains a vital cog in the development initiatives the Association continues to pursue in augmenting the development programmes that are taking football forward and believe that his return to the Technical Department will reenergize the programmes that require his expertise and other stakeholders.

He adds that updates on the announcement of the new head trainer will be given over the coming weeks.
