UNZA management to pay academic staff on Tuesday

The University of Zambia (UNZA) management has announced that it is mobilizing resources and payment of excess teaching allowances will be paid on Tuesday next week.

In a circular made available to QFM News today, UNZA Registrar Dr. Kavwanga Yambayamba says to this effect, management has appealed to all those who were on go slow to resume normal teaching activities on Monday.

UNZA Lecturers and Researchers Union (UNZALARU) members started their go-slow on Monday this week demanding that management pays the contractual agreements.

The lecturers and researchers wanted UNZA management to pay their excess class allowances for last term, benefits and gratuity accrued.
