Zambia Youths Association in the Fight Against Corruption (ZYAFAC) is concerned that the Zambia Police Service is allegedly failing to bring to book perpetrators of leakage of classified government documents.
ZYAFAC Executive Director Rickson Kanema says such failure by the Police is now sending a bad signal to the public that there could be lapses in implementing the law on the part of the Police.
Mr. Kanema has told Qfm News that the Zambia Police is in fact at a risking of losing the confidence that people have in it to conclude investigations of crimes being reported.
He says this entails that the Zambia Police needs to do more in making sure that its presence is felt on the ground by bringing to book perpetrators of the crimes such that involving classified government documents.
Mr. Kanema notes that this is especially that leaking of classified government documents has continued despite it being a risk to the country’s national security.
