Lungu begins 3-day visit to North Western

Republican President Edgar Lungu is in North-Western Province on a three day working holiday during which he is expected to commission a number of developmental projects.

The Head of State is today expected to commission the rehabilitation of the Solwezi-Chingola road.

President Lungu will later commission works for the rehabilitation of township roads in Solwezi District.

He is also expected to commission the NATSAVE bank branch in Kasempa District and meet freedom fighters in the district.

The President will on Saturday travel to Zambezi and Chavuma districts for the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of township roads and is expected to return to Lusaka thereafter.

And President Lungu refused to comment on the petition filed in the High Court by over three thousand Lusaka residents who have petitioned him over a piece of land belonging to Galaunia Farms Limited, saying the matter is in court.
