The Zambia Co-operative Federation (ZCF) has appealed to government to ensure district administrations distribute farming inputs to farmers on time.
ZCF Executive Director James Chirwa says the delay in delivering the farming inputs to farmers from district centres should be avoided this year because this sends panic in the farmers.
Mr. Chirwa says government should be commended for embarking on the early farming inputs distribution.
He however states that district administrations should play their role by ensuring that they do not disturb the process by delivering the inputs to farmers right on time.
Mr. Chirwa tells QFM News that it does not make sense for district officials to delay the disbursement of inputs to farmers when government through the Ministry of Agriculture has distributed the inputs early enough to reach farmers on time.
