Govt advised to be more efficient in delivery farming inputs

United Party for National Development (UPND) Kalomo central Member of Parliament Request Muntanga has advised government to be more efficient in the delivery of farming inputs.

Mr. Muntanga notes the need for the ministry of Agriculture to step up its efforts and strategies in the way farming inputs are distributed to the farmers.

He says the ministry of Agriculture has a huge responsibility to ensure the delivery of the inputs is top priority.

He states that farmers in his constituency have for a long time been subjected to late delivery of seed and fertilizers, thereby affecting their plans for the farming season.

Mr. Muntanga says it is important for government to always remember that farmers contribute immensely to the country’s food security.
