Parties encouraged to co-exist ahead of June 30th

Political parties taking part in the June 30th Parliamentary by-elections have been encouraged to maintain the same co-existence they exhibited during the filing of nominations in their campaigns.

The Foundation for Democratic Process (FODEP) has reminded all political parties to keep in mind that the by-elections they are participating in are as result of nullification on grounds of electoral malpractices.

Executive Director MacDonald Chipenzi says it is therefore important for all political parties to guard themselves against engaging in any malpractices that may cause nullification.

Mr. Chipenzi states that political parties should in this case inform their supporters, cadres and candidates how costly it will be if they again engage in anything that will be inimical to having credible by-elections.
