Govt praises Zambians living abroad

Ministry of Foreign Affairs Permanent Secretary Chalwe Lombe

Government says it is gratifying that cases of Zambians living abroad being involved in crime related activities have drastically reduced.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs Permanent Secretary Chalwe Lombe says this can be attributed to the initiative by Zambian missions to educate Zambians living abroad about the need to respect themselves in foreign countries.

Mr. Lombe says it is important for Zambian citizens living abroad to be disciplined so that they do not bring the name of the country into disrepute.

He says Zambians are known for good behavior and thus the need for them to be self disciplined.

And Mr Lombe has encouraged Zambians living abroad to come back home and be part of the national development currently taking place in the country.
