Govt asked to upgrade Southern Province police stations

Chief Mukobela of the ILA speaking people in Namwala district has appealed to the government to upgrade most Police stations in southern province to enable them address challenges that come with development.

Chief Mukobela says there a lot of crime in the province which is hampering development.

The traditional leader notes that some criminal activities are left unattended to and perpetrators are not arrested as a result of inadequate infrastructure in most Police stations.

He states that if Police stations are upgraded, it will help Police officers to effectively carry out their duties and mitigate criminal activities that are hindering development.

Chief Mukobela further states that as long as those committing crimes are not brought to book, development will be stagnant.
