Aspiring Patriotic Front Kasama Central Member of Parliament Kelvin Sampa says he is not intimidated by former Northern Province Permanent Secretary Emmanuel Mwamba who is believed to be eying the sane seat.

Mr. Sampa says he is not moved because Mr. Mwamba has not come out in the open to declare his intentions to contest the seat in the 2016 general election.

He adds that democracy entails that every person is free to contest any seat including the Kasama Central seat.

He says there is need for the country to embrace democracy by being receptive to competition, stating that he will be happier if more candidates come on board to contest the seat under any political party.

Mr Sampa tells QFM News that even at the time he was declaring interest to contest the Kasama central seat, he was fully aware that more people will come out to declare interest in the seat.
