Commuters Rights Association of Zambia (CRAZ) has appealed to Zambia Railways Limited (ZRL) to extend the operations of the commuter train to other areas along the line of rail.
CRAZ President Aaron Kamuti says the move by ZRL to introduce commuters train in Lusaka is a commendable move which should be supported by all well meaning Zambians.
Mr. Kamuti says the move will help to de-congest traffic on the roads.
He says commuters should take advantage of this gesture considering that rail transport is safer than jumping on buses.
Mr Kamuti says the Railway Company on the other hand should extend such services to other densely populated areas.
