Government says it has made tremendous progress in ensuring that private universities operating in the country meet the required standards.
Education Deputy Minister David Mabumba says government appreciates the investments being made by private individuals and companies in coming up with more universities and colleges in the country.
Mr. Mabumba says in this regard government through the higher education authority wants to see to it that the mushrooming colleges and universities meet the required standards of the education system in Zambia so that they can produce quality education and graduates that can contribute positively to the country’s development.
He adds that government is working tirelessly to ensure that a manual is developed to help classify the mushrooming universities in the country.
