NGOCC applauds Wina

The Non Governmental Coordinating Council (NGOCC) has observed that Republican Vice President Inonge Wina has so far made strides in making sure that women are accorded services they need.

NGOCC Board Chairperson Sara Longwe says even after Ms. Wina was appointed vice president, she has continued to call on society to make sure that women are given the space and the facilities which would make their livelihoods better.

Ms. Longwe notes that she has continued to make pronouncements to benefit women and girls and the nation as a whole citing that she has shown commitment towards improving the lives of women and girls in the country.

She adds that so far, the vice president has also represented the country very well not just locally but even internationally which has proved to the men that women have the potential to contribute to the economic development of the nation much as the men can do.

Ms. Longwe has further encouraged women to continue to fight for equal participation in decision making processes and thereby contribute effectively to the well being of the country.
