The opposition All Peoples Congress (APC) President Nason Msoni has accused the ruling PF of engaging in premature campaigns ahead of the 2016 General elections because they are not comfortable in office.

Mr. Msoni has told QFM News in an interview that this move shows that the PF is uncomfortable in office and want to utilize this time to prepare for 2016.

Mr. Msoni says the PF should not complain when the opposition too engages in premature campaigns saying they are setting the tone.

He says there is need for the party in power to provide leadership by doing right things.

Mr. Msoni states that the PF should stop campaigning prematurely saying they are setting a bad precedent.

Meanwhile, Patriotic Front Media Committee and Publicity Vice Chairman Sunday Chanda says the ruling party is comfortable of staying in office beyond 2016 knowing too well that the opposition in the country is weak.

Mr. Chanda says the opposition should know that they will continue to be in the opposition because they have failed to convince the people why they should be voted in office.

Mr. Chanda has accused the opposition UPND of engaging in premature politics of seeking attention.

He says the people of Zambia are able to judge the kind of leadership the opposition can offer if voted into office with the way they are conducting themselves.

Mr. Chanda adds that politics of attention seeking will not take the opposition anywhere saying they should learn how to do quality politics.
