Choma District has received its share of Compound D fertilizer meant for distribution to farmers for the 2015/2016 farming season.
Choma District Commissioner Bernadette Hamweemba has confirmed the development to Qfm news in an interview.
Ms. Hamweemba however, could not disclose how many metric tonnes of fertilizer has been received.
She says the fertilizer will soon be distributed to the farmers in the district to enable them prepare for the coming farming season on time.
Ms. Hamweemba has commended government for distributing the farming input on time as it gives farmers enough time to the to prepare unlike the case has been in the past.
She says as the district administration they will ensure the fertilizer is given to the intended beneficiaries.
