Chinese govt willing to help Zambia – Chinese envoy

Chinese Ambassador to Zambia Yang Youming

Chinese Ambassador to Zambia Yang Youming says the Chinese government is willing to help Zambia accelerate economic and social development.

Mr. Youming says he believes Zambia will make good use of the assistance from China and achieve great development.

He says China and Zambia are good friends and partners and through joint efforts will continue to deepen their traditional friendship and mutually beneficial corporation that will draw the two countries ever closer.

Mr. Youming points out that some of the assistance the Chinese government is giving to Zambia is the coming of an expert team from China which last month completed their study tour for the extension of Levy Mwanawasa General Hospital.

He adds that the construction of the Confucius Institute at the University of Zambia and the Munali primary school are other projects China is helping Zambia with.

Mr. Youming says he is confident that China’s assistance to Zambia will contribute to the country’s economic development.
