Civil Society Constitution Coalition says it will not support government’s position to amend the constitution in piecemeal.
Coalition Chairperson Judith Mulenga says it is unfortunate that government has decided to go its way and ignore advice from stakeholders.
Ms. Mulenga says the civil society will not allow the rights of Zambians to be overlooked by sidelining their submissions.
She says taking certain clauses to Parliament for amendment is going back to the inquiries Act under which the constitution making process was not initiated.
Ms .Mulenga states that the civil society will only support a wholesome process of enacting the constitution and nothing else.
