Transport, Works, Supply and Communications Minister Yamfwa Mukanga has disclosed that Zambia will next month host a developing landlocked countries meeting in Livingstone to review the Vienna Programme of Action (VPA)

Mr. Mukanga says about thirty two countries will be attending the meeting where more than two hundred delegates are expected to attend.

Mr. Mukanga says the core business of the meeting is to also find out the challenges the member states are facing in implementing the Vienna Programme of Action and help each other.

Mr. Mukanga states that the meeting is also an opportunity for Zambia to showcase her tourism sector considering that 32 countries will be represented.

The United Nations General Assembly last year adopted a 10 year action-plan aimed at accelerating sustainable development in the world’s 32 landlocked developing countries (LLDCs).
