Chilanga District Commissioner Edith Muwana has disclosed that land for the construction of Chilanga District Hospital has been identified.
Ms Muwana says the construction of the hospital will help bring health services closer to the people.
She adds that the declaration of Chilanga as a District has seen a number of developmental projects taking place in the area.
Ms Muwana has told QFM News in an interview that the civic center, administration block, Post office, Interpol, local court and 30 housing units for government workers are being constructed in the district.
Ms Muwana has also disclosed that the Zambia National Building Society in partnership with the council are also constructing over one thousand housing units in view of the anticipated activities in the district.
