Archbishop Mpundu urges one opposition voice

Zambia Episcopal Conference (ZEC) President Archbishop Telesphore Mpundu has advised opposition political parties to speak with one voice on the constitution making process if progress is to be made.

And Archbishop Mpundu has advised government to listen to people’s views on the constitution making process.

Archbishop Mpundu has told journalists that if the opposition wants government to respect their views on the constitution, they should speak with one voice.

Archbishop Mpundu, who is also Archbishop of the Catholic archdiocese of Lusaka, says Zambians should also speak out on the constitution making process.

Meanwhile, the ZEC President says it is wishful thinking for anyone to think of going back to the one party state.

Archbishop Mpundu says Zambians already went through the one party state and that it is unacceptable to think of going back to such a retrogressive state.
