The Zambia Weights and Measures Agency (ZW&MA) has assured farmers across the country that the Food Reserve Agency (FRA) scales to be used during the crop marketing season have been thoroughly verified by the agency.
Public Relations Officer Diana Ngula has told QFM News in an interview that farmers should therefore have confidence in the scales the FRA will use during maize purchasing exercise.
Ms Ngula explains the Zambia Weights and Measures Agency verifies all scales to be used by the Food Reserve Agency in each marketing season in accordance with regulations.
Ms Ngula states that farmers should rest be assured that all the scales that will be deployed in all provinces have the blessings of the agency in that they suit the required standards.
