UPND Senanga Member of Parliament Likando Mufalali has appealed to government to pay transporters who are supposed to transport farming inputs to his constituency.
Mr. Mufalali says farmers in his constituency have not yet started receiving farming inputs for the 2015/2016 farming season because transporters who are supposed to transport the inputs have not been paid.
Mr. MufalaLi says he has spoken to some transporters who are supposed to deliver farming inputs to his constituency who have told him that it is difficult for them to deliver the inputs when government has not paid them.
He says the earlier government pays transporters the better for farmers, considering that they need ample time to prepare for the coming season.
