Church mother bodies urged to spearhead dialogue on constitution

A Clergyman has called on church mother bodies to spearhead dialogue between government and concerned stakeholders over the constitution.

Kafue’s Faith Impact Ministries Pastor in Charge Moses Phiri says it is worrying that both government and other concerned stakeholders such as opposition political parties and the Grand Coalition have failed to reach consensus on the constitution making process.

Pastor Phiri has told QFM News via telephone that the church can play a pivotal role by also praying that concerned parties can reach consensus over the constitution making process so that progress is made.

He says the only way to ending the impasse between government and other stakeholders over the constitution making process is dialogue.

Pastor Phiri says it is in this regard that the church should take the driving seat and bringing together concerned parties.
