Ng’oma tips UPND on whom to replace Kapita

Political scientist Alex Ng’oma has advised the opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) to find an influential person to replace it’s former vice president Richard Kapita who has defected to the ruling Patriotic Front.

Dr. Ngoma says politics is a game of numbers and that any influential person the opposition party will strategically pick for the vacant number two position will help boost the party’s membership.

He states that the UPND should focus on rebuilding and fill the vacuum left by Mr Kapita’s departure.

Dr. Ng’oma has however, acknowledged that Mr. Kapita was a political heavy weight in North western province hence the need for the UPND to work hard and maintain its popularity in the province.
