The Young Women Christian Association (YWCA) has observed that Gender Based Violence cases have continued to increase in the country.
YWCA President Lucy Masiye says a comprehensive report from branches in all the provinces of the country shows that GBV continues to be on the rise despite the many efforts to end the vice.
Ms Masiye notes that lack of economic empowerment for women has also contributed to the high number of GBV cases being reported.
She however states that YWCA is enhancing its activities by involving men, boys and traditional leaders in the fight against GBV with the hope that the cases of GBV will reduce.
Ms. Masiye further states that YWCA will not relent in raising awareness on the dangers of GBV.
