Zambia Army release Wedson Nyirenda

The Zambia Army Command has cleared Green Buffaloes Football Club Coach Wedson Nyirenda to take up his new coaching job at Club Ferroviario in Beira, Mozambique.

This after the Mozambican Club agreed to meet the contractual obligation which was binding to Nyirenda who was on a one year renewable contract with GBFC.

Army Spokesperson Colonel Chris Musonda in a statement to QFM Sports says Nyirenda, who was enjoying very good conditions of service than other coaches in some Clubs, had breached the contract by signing another contract with a foreign Club without being cleared by the Zambia Army, the sponsors of GBFC.

Musonda says as sponsors of the Club, the Army appeals to the Zambia Coaches Association and Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) to encourage coaches to stay with their respective Clubs until the end of the season or at least half way through the season before they think of moving to other Clubs.

Musonda says the Army Command however wishes Nyirenda well at his new Club, and that it is grateful to him for the job he did during his short stay at GBFC.

Meanwhile, Zambia Army Command has appointed GBFC Assistant Coach Warrant Officer Class One (WOI) Bilton Musonda as GBFC head coach, and he will be assisted by Warrant Officer Class Two (WOII) Noel Mwandila.
