NEF worried fuel has been hiked amide economic hardships

National Empowerment Forum (NEF) has expressed worry over the increase in fuel prices amid economic hardships the majority Zambians are facing.

NEF Executive Director Edgar Siakachoma says the increase in the fuel prices will have a ripple effect on the economy of the country.

Mr. Siakachoma says it is therefore important for government through the ministry of Energy to find solutions to reduce the high prices of fuel.

He adds that it is also imperative for government to realize that the increase in fuel prices will affect the many road projects being undertaken because contractors will fail to do THE works when the fuel prices are too high.
