DAVID Beckham may have earned himself international success, but the former England captain will never forget his East End roots.

The dad-of-four took to Instagram today with an emotional trip down memory lane as he tucked into some traditional London food.

David, 40, admitted that the meal reminded him of his grandad Joseph, who passed away in 2009.

With cafe-style chairs in the background, the model smiled for the perfect photo opportunity.

“Reminds me of grandad,” he wrote next to the snap, “Pie and mash, nothing better,” he wrote next to another.

On Wednesday, David was busy making new memories with his little girl Harper when they were snapped shopping for something sweet to eat in London’s Primrose Hill.

Following in her mum Victoria’s footsteps, the three-year-old was pictured wearing her dad’s Rayban sunglasses as he carried her out of the car.

Little Harper – who is growing to look more and more like the ex-Spice Girl everyday – colour co-ordinated with her dad in a denim skirt and white top.

This family can do no wrong.
