Local Government and Housing Minister John Phiri
Local Government and Housing Minister John Phiri has called on local authorities in the country to uphold cleanliness in towns and cities.
Dr. Phiri says local authorities have a mammoth task in ensuring there are clean environments across the country.
He says councils should not wait for government directives to collect garbage or clean up all public places.
Dr Phiri states that it is the responsibility of all councils to ensure there is sanity in the country.
Dr. Phiri has also stated that his ministry is working tirelessly to ensure that the many challenges being faced by councils in the country addressed to help make their work easy.
