FDD disappointed with Lungu’s government

The Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) has charged that President Edgar Lungu is slowly confirming to the Zambian people that he has no vision for the country.

FDD Spokesperson Antonio Mwanza in a statement says the hike in fuel prices and the reluctance to enact Access to Information Law confirms that President Lungu is taking the country nowhere.

Mr. Mwanza has accused the PF government of being reluctant to enact the Access to Information Law for fear of being exposed.

He says if the PF is not a deceiving government they should go ahead and enact the ATI Law.

And the FDD Spokesperson has observed that fuel prices on the international market have not increased, wonders why the PF government has hiked the price of the commodity.

ERB Chairperson Geoff Mwape in announcing the fuel price hike attributed the increase to the depreciation of the Kwacha against US dollar.
