Luo tips female students living in boarding houses

Gender and Child Development Minister Nkandu Luo has advised female students living in boarding houses to desist from engaging in bad vices that will ruin their future.

Professor Luo says she understands the accommodation crisis in most tertiary institutions which has forced many students to find alternative accommodation in boarding houses.

She says in as much as the students have the freedom to stay where they are comfortable during their studies; good behavior is key for them to positively succeed in their education.

Professor Luo explains that what is worrying is that many of the female students are teenagers who can be tempted to indulge in bad vices that can shatter their future.

The Gender Minister has called on parents to ensure they teach their girl children how to look after themselves in such situations and ensure they concentrate on their education despite staying away from university or college premises.
