Chief Lubunda of the Lunda speaking people in Mwense district of Luapula province has government for the early distribution of farming inputs for the 2015/2016 farming season.
He says farmers deserve to be given the attention considering their contribution to national food security.
Chief Lubunda says it is important that government continues to distribute inputs to farmers early so that farmers are not inconvenienced.
He says it is important that farmers have the inputs on their door step before the onset of the rains so that they have enough time to plan for the coming farming season.
And Chief Lubunda has encouraged farmers to consider crop diversification away from maize farming.
