Zambia reassured of continued bilateral relations with Britain

British High Commissioner to Zambia James Thornton

British High Commissioner to Zambia James Thornton has reaffirmed his country’s commitment to its bilateral relations with Zambia following the outcome of the general election in the United Kingdom.

Mr. Thornton says the new British government looks forwards to developing further relations with Zambia.

He told Qfm News that the new UK government led by Prime Minister David Cameron will do this over the next five years.

Mr. Thornton has however stated that the policies the new UK government intends to pursue are yet to be known.
