Mwila warns against illegal allocation of land

Home Affairs Minister Davies Mwila has warned that anyone found allocating land illegally will be treated as a criminal.

Mr. Mwila says it is wrong for political party cadres to continue taking the lead in allocating land which does not belong to them.

He says Police are on high alert to ensure that the culprits in the illegal allocation of land are brought to book.

Mr Mwila warns that no political party cadre should expect to win favors from the Police if they are found wanting because illegal land allocation is a serious offense and the law will take its course on all the perpetrators.

The Home Affairs Minister has since implored the Police not to hesitate to arrest anyone found allocating land illegally regardless of political affiliation.
