KATE Middleton has written a letter which was released this week, to encourage people to support her much-loved charity Children’s Hospice.

Prince William‘s wife may have recently given birth, but the new mum of two proved that she still has time to think of others less fortunate than her and has urged people to support Children’s Hospice Week.

In a message from Kensington Palace, The Duchess has written: “For families of children with life-limiting conditions, every moment is precious and every memory needs to be cherished and celebrated

“Children’s hospices strive to create happy moments in the most difficult times any family could face

“I hope you will join me in supporting Children’s Hospice Week and work to make every moment count for all of our families.”

The letter has been released by Charity Together for Short Lives, who lead Children’s Hospice Week this week (11-17 May) which brings together the UK’s 53 children’s hospices and palliative care services.

Kate has worked closely with Children’s Hospices since becoming a patron for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices in January 2012.

The charity is urging people to support the week by sharing a memorable moment on social media using the hashtag #momentscount

Pippa Middleton‘s sister is currently at home in Anmer Hall on the Queen’s Sandringham Estate in Norfolk with new baby Charlotte and 21-month-old George.

Kate is not expected to appear in public for several months as she focuses on her family.
