Republican President Edgar Lungu has congratulated United Kingdom Prime Minister David Cameron on his decisive election victory during the May 7, 2015 general elections.
In a letter to the Prime Minister, President Lungu states that the re–election of Mr. Cameron for another five-year term of office is an affirmation and clear testimony of the confidence the British people have in his vision and leadership qualities.
President Lungu says Zambia and Britain share warm and cordial historic ties which have characterized the relations over the years.
The Head of State says it is fervent hope that during his second term office and beyond, these relations will continue to flourish.
