Mweetwa calls on govt to transform Choma District Hospital

Choma Central Member of Parliament Cornelius Mweetwa has called on government to transform Choma District Hospital into a General Hospital in view of the growing population of the District.

Mr. Mweetwa has disclosed to Qfm News that the Hospital has been stretched to the limit by the influx of people moving to Choma District following its declaration as the provincial capitol.

He says government through the Ministry of Health should therefore address this challenge and ensure that the Hospital is also equipped with electricity backup source.

Mr. Mweetwa notes that this is order that when ZESCO power has been interrupted the Hospital’s operations do not get affected
