Rotary teams with WHO against Polio

The Rotary Club and the World Health Organization (WHO) have teamed up to help fight Polio in Zambia.

Speaking when he paid a courtesy call on Vice President Inonge Wina this afternoon, visiting Rotary Club President Gary Huang says his organization is ready to support Zambia fight polio.

Mr. Garry says he is also impressed with the commitment which the Zambian government through the ministry of health has shown towards eradicating diseases.

And Vice President Inonge Wina has commended the Rotary Club for the work they are doing in Zambia.

Ms.Wina says government will do everything possible to ensure that the Rotary Club members operating in Zambia enjoy their course of duty.

The Vice President has also appealed to the Rotary Club to help train more girls in science and mathematics to drive the country’s economy forward.
