ZYAFAC sounds off alert ahead of June 30th

Law enforcement Agencies have been called upon to be on the alert and proactive in view of the announcement by the Electoral Commission of Zambia of the date for the Petauke Central, Malambo and Mulobezi Parliamentary by-elections.

Zambia Youths Association in the Fight Against Corruption (ZYAFAC) is calling upon the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) and the Zambia Police to be on the ground in the three constituencies where by-elections are due.

Executive Director Rickson Kanema says the three law enforcement agencies should take this period seriously and look out for electoral malpractices.

Mr. Kanema states that ZYAFAC is of the view that law enforcement agencies in the country will be appreciated more if they prevent electoral malpractices before they happen by bringing to book perpetrators.
