Chief Chikanta of the Tonga speaking people in Kalomo district of southern province has hailed President Edgar Lungu’s commitment and openness to dialogue with stakeholders on issues affecting the country.
Chief Chikanta has told Qfm news that though it is too early to judge President Edgar Lungu’s performance during the three months he has been in office; the President has shown political will to deliver on his campaign promises.
He has however noted that President Lungu’s time in State house maybe too short for him to address every concern and fulfill the promises made to the Zambian people.
Chief Chikanta says it is for this reason that the President should increase his work rate in order for him to address the many challenges facing the country.
The traditional leader has advised President Lungu to divide his time prudently so that he can reach out to the majority of Zambians.
Chief Chikanta has further advised the President to continue with his open door policy.
