ZDDM counsels opposition leaders

The opposition Zambia Direct Democracy Movement (ZDDM) has appealed to opposition leaders to start a new chapter with regards shunning important national commemorations in the country.

ZDDM vice president Charles Kafumbo says national days such Labour Day are important to every Zambian regardless of their political affiliation because they can be used as platform to interact on issues affecting the workers.

Mr. Kafumbo notes that staying away from such celebrations is not reflective of what a peaceful and democratic country Zambia is.

He explains that his party the ZDDM attaches great importance to working together with all relevant stakeholders in ensuring that Zambians and workers in particular are happy with the working conditions of service in their respective work places.
