Opposition Zambians for Empowerment and Development (ZED) president Fred Mutesa has hailed President Edgar Lungu’s directive to lift the wage freeze on public service workers.
Dr. Mutesa notes that the lifting of the wage freeze has been long overdue.
He says this is especially that workers have for a long time been complaining of how archaic the current labour laws are.
Dr. Mutesa says it is now time for the Minister of Labour to work closely with the Secretary to the Cabinet to ensure that President Lungu’s directive is quickly worked on without delay.
