Kasonkomona calls for more to end sex work in Zambia

Gender Rights for Justice says there is need to put in more work to end sex work in Zambia.

Project Coordinator Paul Kasonkomona notes the need for stakeholders to step up efforts towards reducing sex work among women and men in Zambia.

Mr. Kasonkomona says the recent research findings by TASINTHA indicating that many young women have joined the band wagon to sell their bodies for sex due economic hardships and poverty among others are worrying.

He has however noted the need for researchers to be more proactive and find out why only females doing sex work are targeted.

Mr. Kasonkomona says there are also many male sex workers with white collar jobs who are never heard of in any report.
