Govt urged to build consensus on constitution making process

The Patriotic Front government has been reminded to realize that the solution to improving people’s lives still lies in dealing with the issue of enacting Zambia’s new constitution.

Government is being advised to hasten in providing direction and building consensus on the way forward with respect to ensuring that the country has a new constitution before the 2016 general elections in line with the people’s wishes and aspiration.

Aspiring Munali Member of Parliament Patrick Mungo says he agrees to the observation that a new constitution will change people’s lives politically, socially, economically and spirituality.

Mrs. Mungo has told Qfm News that it is for this reason that he thinks President Edgar Lungu should stick to his promise he made to the Zambian people that of delivering a people driven constitution before the 2016 general elections.

He says President Lungu should keep in mind that the people have not forgotten his promise.
