FFTUZ encourages workers not to shun Labor Day celebrations

The Federation of Free Trade Unions of Zambia (FFTUZ) has encouraged workers across the country to take advantage of the Labor Day celebrations to air out their grievances with government.

FFTUZ National Women’s Chairperson Charity Kampamba has told QFM News in a telephone interview that shunning the celebrations will not help workers in anyway.

Ms Kampamba believes that it is through such events that workers can make their views heard by government.

Ms Kampamba states that workers should also reflect on their work culture even as they commemorate this year’s Labour Day.

She has since encouraged workers from all walks of life to ensure that they turn out in large numbers to celebrate their day.

This year’s Labor Day Theme is; “Promoting National Economic Growth through Job creation, free collective bargain and respect of workers’ rights”.
