The Zambia Council for Social Development (ZCSD) has challenged President Lungu to give the people of Zambia a new constitution before the 2016 general elections if he has nothing to fear in giving the people of Zambia a new constitution.
ZCSD Executive Secretary Lewis Mwape says the people of Zambia have for a long time been crying for the enactment of a people driven constitution thus if President Lungu has nothing to fear he should give them a constitution in the shortest possible time.
President Lungu on Saturday night in Livingstone said he has nothing to hide or fear in delivering the constitution to the people of Zambia in the shortest possible time.
But Mr. Mwape notes that by giving the people of Zambia a constitution before 2016 President Lungu will make the people happy citing that in the new constitution lies many things that would change the lives of the people of Zambia.
He adds that enacting a constitution is the one of the most important things that the people of Zambia are asking for from President Lungu besides other things.
Mr. Mwape further states that the enacting of a new constitution will change the way of running the country for the benefit of the people of Zambia.
