Green Party President Peter Sinkamba says workers in the country deserve to celebrate their day which is the Labour Day.
Mr. Sinkamba says workers in the country play a vital role in contributing to the economic development of the country.
He notes that despite what the workers in the country may be going through, they should celebrate their day looking at the contributions they have continued to make in the development of the nation.
Mr. Sinkamba says workers should just be hopeful that one day, things will get better for them and thus they should continue to work hard and put in their best in all that they do.
He stresses that workers should know that they labour is not in vein but that in due course, they will be rewarded.
Mr. Sinkamba has further advised government to address the challenges that the workers in the country are facing.

And Evangelical Youth Alliance International Executive Director Moses Lungu says workers in the country have so many reasons to celebrate this year’s Labour Day.
Reverend Lungu says the Patriotic Front government has demonstrated political will to address the plight of the workers in the country which is one of the many reasons the workers should commemorate their day.
Rev Lungu has urged the workers to reflect on what contributions they have made to the development of the nation and what more they can do.
He has appealed to government to also take seriously the concern of the workers so that they meet half way for the betterment of the country.
Rev Lungu has further urged the people of Zambia to support and encourage the workers stressing that their contribution o the economic growth of the nation cannot be underemphasized.
