Zanaco downed Napsa Stars in a four-goal blitz on Saturday to open a three-point lead at the summit of the 2015 Faz Super League table.

The six-time champions beat Napsa 4-0 at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka to extend their reign at the summit of the log for a second successive game.

Three of Zanaco’s four goals all came in the first 40 minutes of the opening stanza of this Super League Week Six match.

Ziyo Tembo put The Bankers ahead in the 30th minute and three minutes later Mathews Macha made it 2-0.

Henry Banda added the third in the 40th minute to see the homeside take a comfortable 3-0 halftime lead.

Defender Salulani Phiri cemented Zanaco’s victory in the 52nd minute.

Phiri’s goal was his second in as many matches after he handed Zanaco a 1-0 win over Power Dynamos last Wednesday at the same venue to oust the latter and take command of the league.

Zanaco move from 11 points to 14 after six matches played and are three points ahead of defending champions Zesco United.

The two sides are now the only unbeaten teams heading into the seventh round of games next week.

Meanwhile, Napsa slumped from 13th to second from bottom in 15th place after suffering their third successive defeat in which they have now conceded nine goals and scored none to put serious pressure on coach Hector Chilombo’s two year reign.
